Mercy Medical Center

Interface has completed a number of projects at Mercy Medical Center, the premier medical facility in Oregon’s Douglas County. Representative projects are listed below:
Medical Office Building
Interface provided electrical engineering services for a 75,000 SF medical office building addition to the main hospital. Tenant spaces included specialists’ offices and clinic space, and a conference center. The project also included the relocation of the hospital pharmacy and laboratory.
Skilled Nursing Facility
Interface conducted an analysis of existing electrical conditions in a nursing home facility operated by Mercy Medical under a lease agreement with Douglas County.
Imaging Department
Interface provided design for the installation of a pre-manufactured MRI and support building at the facility, and conducted a study to compile current and actual electrical demand load information for the main hospital, nursing wing, and south building the year before.
Surgery Center
Interface provided design services for surgery suites, recovery rooms, common areas, and medical office space in this 55,000 SF surgery center. Design services were also provided for the 8,000 SF surgery link area consisting of a relocated ambulance entry, trauma corridor, public corridor and support spaces.
Intensive Care Unit
The ICU remodel consisted of a 5,200 SF addition to an existing wing, and a 2,300 SF remodel of existing space.
Low Voltage Systems, Surveys
and Renovations
Interface provided investigative surveys,
design, specifications and construction oversight
for renovations of fire alarm, nurse call, and
rescue assistant systems.
