Residential Projects

Trendwest Timeshare
Seaside, OR
Significant demolition was required before
construction could begin on the new eight-story,
436,161 SF Trendwest timeshare, which houses 298
condominium units with retail shops on the ground
floor, situated on the beach at Seaside, Oregon.
The
site also includes a four-story, 217,814 SF parking
structure with the capacity for 635 cars.
The structure is post-tensioned concrete, with
exterior walls of Insulated Concrete Formed, the
largest project of this type in the Northwest.
Interface provided full design services, including
consultation on mechanical, electrical, plumbing,
lighting, communications, and fire protection
systems design. Because of the extreme weather
at the Oregon coast, the HVAC systems had to be
designed for windy, rainy conditions, and all
the equipment had to be durable in a salt-air
environment.
